Dauis Pilgrim-Heritage Center speaks impeccably of a blueprint that transformed the Old Dauis Rectory Courtyard not only as a key heritage site in Dauis but also as a center for innovation and pride for creative industries that benefit everyone, including grassroots communities.

With the application of  “adaptive reuse”, the ground floor of the Convent now houses three of Dauis Center’s operating units that serve pilgrims and tourists: Handumanan Shop, Café Lawis and the Assumption Museum.

Cafe Lawis

Café Lawis is Dauis Pilgrim-Heritage Center’s    premier coffee and snack shop where one can   savor innovative food that is uniquely Dauisanon and Boholano.

Café Lawis serves unique Dauisanon and        Boholano cuisine like ube pandesal and pork humba panini. Dauis is known for its rich variety of purple yam popularly called ube kinampay.

Handumanan Shop (Boholano for Souvenir

Handumanan Shop showcases local products from the town of Dauis such as colonial inspired fine jewelries – the shop’s bestsellers – and wood products carved by Dauis craftsmen. The shop intends to develop and promote entrepreneurship and local craftsmanship in Dauis.

Assumpta Museum

Assumpta Museum is the center’s storyteller. It currently displays an exhibit featuring the story of the town of Dauis and a glimpse of the Dauis Assumption Development Master Plan.
