Bislig City

It is located at the Southeastern Coast of Mindanao Facing the Pacific Ocean. It is the only component city of Surigao del Sur that was created in 2000.

Blessed with abundant natural attractions, the city by the bay is home to numerous waterfalls. Tinuy-an Falls is one of its prominent attractions. It is noted by most people as “Niagara Falls” of the Philippines. It has a 3 tiered falls of total height of 55 meters and bathing width area of 95 meters. Other features are presence of  3 islets at the swimming ground, cool atmosphere with presence of dipterocarp trees, ferns, orchids and vines along bank of river; multi layered riverbed of stones skillfully crafted by nature; and formation of rainbow rays from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Butuan City

Intriguing Butuan is a place you must not miss to visit. Its spectacular archaeological sites yielded a bounty of artifacts, and even older traces including prehistoric wooden boats known as “balangays” or “Butuan Boats”. For history buffs and heritage conscious visitors, visit the Butuan City Regional Museum where relics and artifacts authenticated by experts of archaeology dating back to the 4th century (320 A.D.) are on display; the Balangay Shrine Museum, Diocesan Liturgical Museum and private antique collections. At night, you can sing your blues away at the various KTV bars, listen to the live rock bands, and experience the psychedelic colors and music of its sports and music bars.

Agusan del Sur

The province is blessed with very rich biodiversity. Agusan Marsh Wildlife Sanctuary, the mystical wetland in the northeastern part of Mindanao, is the largest marshland in the Philippines– holding up to 15% of the country’s freshwater. It is located in the center of the Agusan River Basin, which is the third largest river basin in the country. It encompasses a total of 65,806 hectares but only 19,196.58 hectares is declared as protected area.

Agusan Marsh is also home to indigenous Monobo people, who live in clusters of wood and bamboo houses built on rafts of floating logs. It is the wintering ground of the migratory water wetland birds from the Southeast Asia Region.

Agusan del Norte

Situated at the mouth of Mindanao Bay, Agusan del Norte is strategically located. With the availability of a port of international standard in Nasipit, it is poised to become the center for trade, industry and commerce in the region.

It is a haven for eco-adventure enthusiasts. Discover the world-class dive spots in Jabonga, Carmen & Tubay. Be amazed with the scenic view of Lake Mainit. The jewel of the province, Lake Mainit with its serene waters offers sanctuary to various marine species as well as exotic fowl. The lake is simply perfect for game fishing or windsurfing & leisure boating.
