Bislig City

It is located at the Southeastern Coast of Mindanao Facing the Pacific Ocean. It is the only component city of Surigao del Sur that was created in 2000.

Blessed with abundant natural attractions, the city by the bay is home to numerous waterfalls. Tinuy-an Falls is one of its prominent attractions. It is noted by most people as “Niagara Falls” of the Philippines. It has a 3 tiered falls of total height of 55 meters and bathing width area of 95 meters. Other features are presence of  3 islets at the swimming ground, cool atmosphere with presence of dipterocarp trees, ferns, orchids and vines along bank of river; multi layered riverbed of stones skillfully crafted by nature; and formation of rainbow rays from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Butuan City

Intriguing Butuan is a place you must not miss to visit. Its spectacular archaeological sites yielded a bounty of artifacts, and even older traces including prehistoric wooden boats known as “balangays” or “Butuan Boats”. For history buffs and heritage conscious visitors, visit the Butuan City Regional Museum where relics and artifacts authenticated by experts of archaeology dating back to the 4th century (320 A.D.) are on display; the Balangay Shrine Museum, Diocesan Liturgical Museum and private antique collections. At night, you can sing your blues away at the various KTV bars, listen to the live rock bands, and experience the psychedelic colors and music of its sports and music bars.
